Lily pad

How the pond works.

Hoply is a launchpad on Robinhood Chain built on Uniswap v4. There is one idea in it: a pond is five lily pads, and every hop from one pad to the next costs the same ETH. Everything else follows from that.

Five equal hops

Each bar is the ETH it takes to buy a whole pad. They are all the same height, so the pads hold fewer and fewer tadpoles towards the lotus. That is the whole trick.

  1. 1

    Spawn a tadpole

Anyone gives the marsh a name, a symbol and a picture. The marsh mints the clutch, spawns the token and opens a fresh Uniswap v4 pond for it, with the tongue as the pond's hook. Free apart from gas.

  2. 2

    Five pads, shore to lotus

The pond's liquidity is laid as five lily pads end to end, from the shore where the price starts to the lotus where it blooms. Each pad is a price range on the pond, and Hop stands on whichever pad the price has reached.

  3. 3

    Every hop costs the same

The pads are sized so buying through any one of them takes exactly as much ETH as any other. That means the pad by the shore holds the most tadpoles and the pad by the lotus the fewest: same ETH, fewer tadpoles, higher price. Five equal hops.

  4. 4

    The tongue catches flies

On every trade the tongue catches a small share of the ETH side as flies and swallows them to the supply wallet in the same transaction. Buyers pay them on the ETH they send; sellers on the ETH they receive.

  5. 5

    Bloom, and the shore

A buy that would carry the price past the lotus is trimmed to what is left and the rest of the ETH is refunded in the same call. A sell cannot push the price below the shore. Once the lotus is reached the pond has bloomed.

  6. 6

    Nobody can drain it

Most of the clutch sits on the pads forever: not the spawner, not the marsh, nobody can remove that liquidity. The rest goes liquid to the supply wallet at spawn. No owner, no pause, no upgrade.

Numbers

The size of the clutch, the share on the pads, the share of each trade the tongue catches and the two market cap marks live in the verified contract source and on each pond’s page as live data. This page describes the mechanism; the chain states the terms.
